LP (Laura Pergolizzi) Wife: Is He Married?

The American singer, musician, and songwriter LP was born on March 18, 1981. They are sometimes recognized by their birth name, Laura Pergolizzi. LP has put out three EPs and six albums in the course of their career.

Who is Laura Pergolizzi?

Their ability as songwriters has allowed them to write songs for a number of well-known performers, such as Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis, Mylène Farmer, Cher, Rihanna, and the Backstreet Boys.

LP’s origins date back to 1981, when their parents, who were Italian Americans, gave birth to them on Long Island.

Their grandmother was from Naples, and their paternal grandfather was from Palermo. They moved to New York City, where “LP” became their nickname.

Regarding their identity, LP declares themselves to be lesbians in public. They stressed the value of visibility for the LGBTQ+ community in a 2016 interview, saying, “It’s not important to prove myself as a lesbian.

Nonetheless, visibility is crucial. Like everyone else, we are just regular people.”

Their personal experiences are frequently reflected in their music. For example, LP wrote the song “Lost on You” following his split from actress Tamzin Brown.

Notably, American singer-songwriter Lauren Ruth Ward, who LP was dating at the time, appears in the music video for this song. In addition, LP and Mexican actress Julieta Grajales had a romantic relationship that ended in 2022.

Laura Pergolizzi Early Life and Career In Perspective

LP’s gender identity has been a part of their self-discovery journey. They acknowledged their gender-neutral identity and used both the pronouns “she” and “her” in an interview from 2018, but they also said, “I honestly don’t love it.”

They continued by expressing their admiration for those who use “they” pronouns. LP stated in the same interview that she was “equally comfortable” with the label of “garden variety lesbian woman.”

But as LP’s gender identity developed, they adopted “they/them” pronouns in 2021. “I’m kind of transitioning over to the they/them [pronoun] thing—it’s more my kind of vibe,” LP said in an interview.

Bandmate David Lowery originally saw LP perform live and was so taken by the remarkable talent that he decided to include them in a bonus track called “Cinderella” on the group’s 1998 album, “Gentleman’s Blues.” This partnership continued when LP contributed their unique backing vocals to two more tracks on the same album.

David Lowery then became more involved in LP’s musical career as the producer of their first album, “Heart-Shaped Scar,” which Koch Records released in 2001. This collaboration represented a significant turning point in LP’s career.

“Suburban Sprawl & Alcohol,” the LP’s second album, was released in June 2004 under the Lightswitch Records label.

LP collaborated on this project with the talented songwriter and music producer Linda Perry, who added a plethora of knowledge and skills to the creative process.

Unfortunately, even with their best efforts to promote the album by touring extensively and receiving positive reviews from music critics, the record was never able to gain the widespread recognition it deserved.

Is Laura Pergolizzi married?

Lesbian LP has had multiple relationships with women in public. From 2017 to 2021, they were married to Tamzin Brown, a Mexican actress. From 2018 to 2022, they also had a romantic relationship with American singer-songwriter Lauren Ruth Ward. LP will not be married as of November 2023.
