Luis Guzmán is an actor from Puerto Rico. He has appeared in numerous films and television programs during the course of his forty-year career. The movies Out of Sight, The Limey, and Traffic all starred Guzmán. For his work in The Limey, he received a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male.
Luis’ career as an actor began with a little part as a prisoner in the 1977 movie “Short Eyes,” which was adapted from the play by Miguel Piero of the same name. He didn’t receive a project until 1983, when he played the somewhat well-known character of “Jose” in the television show “Variety.”

Luis made his television debut two years later in a cameo role in the CBS crime drama “The Equalizer.” He made an appearance in two episodes of the crime thriller “Miami Vice” that same year.
