Veteran highlife musician Nana Acheampong has debunked rumors that there is a feud between himself and his friend Daddy Lumba.
There have been a series of reports that the two best friends have been at loggerhead for a couple of years after they parted ways mysteriously.
However during the musical concert organized at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Center by Kafam dubbed “The Legends Night”, the two friends were seen together on the stage performing one of their old songs.
Speaking about their separation, Nana Acheampong disclosed that the Lumba brothers went on their separate paths based on mutual grounds and not because they had issues.
“I don’t know why people think the Lumba Brothers have issues. Lumba is a good friend of mine. I have 30 albums and he has more than 30 albums so tell us which other musician is entertaining Ghanaians more than us”?
“We have been able to entertain our fans all these years and that is what makes us unique”, Nana Acheampong said after his performance on stage.
Also during the performance, Daddy Lumba acknowledged Nana Acheampong for introducing him to the highlife genre and playing a role in his career. He said;
“When I went to Germany, I was doing Gospel until I found Nana Acheampong who introduced me to Highlife. He has played a major role in my music career and I owe him a lot”, Lumba eulogized his friend.
