The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has been enstooled as the Nkosuohene of Bibiniha in the Bono East Region.
His instalment was done by the Chiefs and people of Bibianiha and adjoining communities in the Dormaa Central Municipality of the Bono Region.
Speaking after the instalment of the former president, Nana Akumsah Adinkra, Chief of Bibianiha said the decision to make Mahama the Nkosuohene of the town is based on the developmental projects carried in the area during the NDC’s tenure of office.
After he was given the stool name Osahene Dr John Mahama, with all traditional rites performed, he promised to bring major development projects to the area when he is voted president in December including the building of a second-cycle school for Bibianiha.
“The NDC wants to build a Secondary Technical Vocational School in Bibianiha, to enable our youth and children earn employable skills that can be harnessed even if they are unable to continue their education” he said.
