Former Obuasi Methodist Bishop Stephen Richard Bosomtwe Ayensu says he only knows former President John Dramani Mahama as the ‘dead goat’ President.
He added Mahama seeking re-election would do nothing to improve Ghanaians’ lot. Bishop Bosomtwe Ayensu said that the former President should avoid politics.
He claimed the former president should be enjoying his retirement after losing the 2020 General Elections after rising through the ranks from Assembly member to President of Ghana. He claims it would elevate Mahama to stateman rank.
On NEAT FM’s ‘Ghana Montie’ morning program, Bishop Bosomtwe Ayensu stated Mahama’s term was bad and he cannot recall any constructive policy from the past administration.
“I just remember him as a goat. President again so he may examine the Free SHS policy. Do we mean it as a nation?” Bosomtwe Ayensu questioned
Mahama’s dead goat syndrome comment:
During the 2016 election campaign, President Mahama stated that he would not be rocked by union strikes.
“I saw more strikes and protests in my first two years.” It can’t get much worse. It is stated that a dead goat does not fear a knife since it is already dead.
“I have a dead goat syndrome,” he told the Ghanaian community in Botswana on March 11, 2015.
