The president of the Republic Nana Akuffo-Addo, terminated the contract of the Minister of State in charge of the Finance Ministry, Charles Adu Boahen.
This comes after Charles Adu Boahen was caught in a scandal in investigative piece of Anas Aremeyaw Anas in his exposé ‘Galamsey Economy”.
Anas Aremeyaw Anas took to his social media page to share an excerpt of his exposé which showed Mr Boahen implicating Vice President, Dr Bawumia.
In the video, Charles Adu Boahen alleged that vice president Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia needs US$2000,000 as an appearance fee to facilitate investment in the country.
“You mean, like appearance fees and stuff? I mean he, himself (the vice president), if you give him some (USD) 200,000 or something as a token, as thank you, appreciation, that’s fine.
He’s not really, he’s not really (like) that. All he needs is to worry about his campaign money in 2022”, he revealed.
Dr Bawumia in a press release asked for the immediate termination of Charles Boahen’s appointment in the Finance Ministry.
Reacting to this in a recent Facebook post, Nana Aba Anamoah asked that Dr Bawumia gives a sound slap to Charles to reset his brains.
