Mamadol known for short M.M.D came into existence through a project group organized by the TVN show about female idols that put a hiatus on their career to assume motherly roles and currently trying to debut again. The television show was called Mama The Idol.
After reaching the set goal of 20000 followers on Instagram and 200 fan club members, six mothers were able to debut. Previously, they showcased their musical skills through episodes before the set goal was met.
