Due to the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus, hand sanitizers have become the ultimate to one’s protection; therefore, its prices have shot up.
With this, hand sanitizers are now hard to come by in the country because according to the World Helth Organisation, it reduces one’s chances of contracting the infectious deadly disease.
Since it’s hard to come by one at the moment, any trickster can convince one into buying anything that looks like a hand sanitizer.
It is in view of this that an innocent trader from Yeji was left in amazement after noticing that he was tricked into purchasing baby lotion at GHS70 in Kumasi instead of a hand sanitizer.
He became aware after conversing with the team covering the disinfection exercise at the Adabraka Market on Monday, March 23, 2020.
After the team gave him a little drop of sanitizers to protect him from contracting COVID-19, the trader was in a rage over how he was deceived.
“This feels different from what I have. No matter the cost, I would not have bought the sanitizer. I do not know what a sanitizer is and the seller should have explained to me that the product was not a hand sanitizer.
I bought it because I wanted to protect myself. I will now have to stop using it because there is no point. I would not have realized it if you did not inform me,” he lamented.
