He plays as a central midfielder mostly, although he can also play as an attacking midfielder, a second striker, a winger, or a defensive midfielder.
Between September 2010 to January 2013, Marcel Sabitzer was a member of the Admira Wacker Mödling team. In eight games during the 2010–11 Austrian Bundesliga, he scored twice. Sabitzer joined RB Leipzig on a four-year deal on May 30, 2014, and spent a season on loan with FC Red Bull Salzburg.
On June 5, 2012, Sabitzer made his international debut for Austria in a scoreless stalemate against Romania. At UEFA Euro 2016 and UEFA Euro 2020, he represented his country.
As of right now, Marcel has established himself as one of the Bundesliga’s most promising offensive midfielders. The junior Sabitzer is a delight to watch week in and week out since he is a quick dribbler with excellent ball control.
He can bend in free kicks with ease and execute dangerous crosses with frightening regularity thanks to his lethal right foot. The midfielder frequently changed teams in his early years before settling down permanently at Admira Wacker’s development system.
In 2010, he was promoted to their senior team. He played for both teams a total of 85 times and contributed to well over 50 goals.
