Mary Earps family must have supported her throughout her career. She started playing football for Leicester City and spent 2009–2010 with them, though she saw very little play time there.
Her time at Leicester City saw her challenge regular goalkeeper Leanne Hall unsuccessfully, which meant that she had to find opportunities elsewhere.
She would go on to play for Nottingham Forest between 2010 and 2011, Doncaster Rovers Belles between 2011 and 2012, and Birmingham City in 2013.
