After earning a Bachelor of Science in interdisciplinary sciences from Florida State University in 2003, Gaetz graduated from William & Mary Law School in 2007 with a Juris Doctor.
He was admitted to the Florida Bar on February 6, 2008, and briefly worked in private practice before running for state representative. Gaetz served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2016, where he became nationally recognized for defending Florida’s “stand-your-ground law.” He was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2016 and has been reelected in 2018, 2020, and 2022. In October 2021, the Florida Bar suspended Gaetz from practicing law due to unpaid fees.

They were married in a private ceremony on August 21, 2021. Luckey is the sister of Palmer Luckey, the founder of Oculus VR.
She is known to be an Analyst and Sales Operations & Enablement lead at Apeel, according to her LinkedIn profile. Does Matt Gaetz have children?
Matt Gaetz and Ginger Luckey may not have a biological child yet, but they are proud parents to Nestor Galban, a young boy who Gaetz legally adopted. Nestor’s mother passed away due to breast cancer when he was just 12 years old, and Gaetz took him under his wing and became his legal guardian. Since then, Nestor has become an integral part of the family and often appears in photos with Gaetz and Luckey on social media.
Gaetz has spoken publicly about his love for Nestor and the bond they share, referring to him as his “son” and saying that he’s proud to have him as part of his family. Nestor, who is now a teenager, has also been open about his love and admiration for Gaetz, referring to him as a “father figure” and saying that he’s grateful for the support and care he’s received. Despite the controversy surrounding Gaetz’s political career, there’s no denying the strong family bond he shares with Nestor and Ginger.
