Maxine Klibingaitis husband: Meet Andrew Friedman

Maxine Klibingaitis was an Australian actress who was born in Ballarat, Victoria. She is best known locally and internationally for her role as teen punk Bobbie Mitchell in the TV series Prisoner and as Terry Inglis, in Neighbours.

She received the MUFF award for Best Supporting Female Actor in 2007 for her portrayal of a deranged, diabetic punk in the movie Moonlight & Magic.

Maxine plays the local girl Caz in the first two Boronia Boys movies, Boronia Boys and Boronia Backpackers. At the age of 58, Klibingaitis passed away abruptly on April 17, 2023. Her death’s cause hasn’t been made public yet.

A fan page dedicated to the Australian TV show Prisoner, in which Maxine also appeared, announced the news with a post.

It read: “Maxine Klibingatis 1964 – 2023. We regrettably announce that actress Maxine Klibingaitis has passed away today.

“Maxine played the much-loved character of Bobbie Mitchell in Prisoner, Terri Inglis in Neighbours and many other roles in Australian TV.

“Maxine was only 58. We send our sincere condolences to her son, Zane and Maxine’s family & friends. RIP Maxine.”

An additional comment was added: “Just to clarify for those inboxing me, the sad news is not a hoax. A very close friend of Maxine’s called me late today.

“[They] asked me to post the sad news so that Maxine’s fans would know. Maxine had many fans.”

Maxine appeared on the Australian soap Neighbours as apprentice plumber Terry Inglis in 1985. Fans will remember Maxine’s character Terry marries villain Paul Robinson, played by Stefan Dennis.
