Popular singer, Mayorkun known in real life as Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel has disclosed the reason why he didn’t feature his former label boss, Davido in his new album.

Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) signed Mayorkun in 2016 and has been working with him for years now until it was recently rumored that he has exited the label as their contract wasn’t renewed.

The singer has released his latest project dubbed, ‘Black In Office’, and the body of work confirms that he’s no longer with DMW as Davido’s label didn’t promote it and their logo wasn’t on the cover either.

Well, during the listening party of the album, he had a chat with popular media personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu as he was asked about why Davido wasn’t placed on the project.

He said, “Most people don’t know how creating an album works; sometimes, it’s a groups of songs you’ve had way back and just compile together.

“The songs that we have together I don’t feel like it’s for this album but for a later time.

“I and Davido have songs together and it is not a situation that I took out his song for my album.”
