Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nana Yaw Amponsah, has criticized the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for the Ghana Premier League’s meager prize money.
He claims that Frank Mbella, a former Cameroonian striker, makes the same amount of money each month as the Premier League champions of Ghana, who receive 300,000GHC.
This is approximately $25,000.
You are all aware that Mbella left Kotoko before the 2022–2023 season to join Al Masry in Egypt. The GFA and Nana Yaw Amponsah have different views on how local clubs should be supported.

The betting company provided a sponsorship sum of one million dollars, which went to each of the 18 teams competing in the 2022–2023 BetPawa Ghana Premier League, for a total of $25,278.
An extra $1,000,000 was allocated to marketing and promotion of the league.
