Michael Joe Jackson popularly known as Michael Jackson was born on 29th August 1958 in Gary Indiana in the United States of America. He was a songwriter, a dancer and an American singer. Michael Jackson is famously known to be one of the best and prolific entertainers in the world, especially in the music and dance industry in the mid-1980s. After his death, Michael Jackson was raised in Gary, Indiana where he was born. Michael Jackson is said to have come from a musical family. Among his family, he is the youngest and the most talented of all his siblings. Michael was also a member of a group of child music stars which was formerly called Jackson 5. Among this group, were also some talented kids whose names were Sigmund Jackson, Tito Jackson, Marlon Jackson and of course Jermaine Jackson. Michael Jackson died at the age of 50. He left an unforgettable legacy.

Family

Michael Jackson was raised in an extended family. Michael Jackson was also the third born of his parents with about four additional siblings; Sigmund Jackson, Tito Jackson, Marlon Jackson and of course Jermaine Jackson. His mother’s name was Katherine Jackson. She was a homemaker and a highly committed Jehovah’s Witness church member. His father on the other hand was Joseph Jackson; a guitarist.

Michael and his family were poor at a younger age while growing up. They lived their lives in a small house. They shared just two bedrooms with about 11 people. Their father, Joe Jackson was considered to be a very disciplined and strict parent to his kids. He never allowed them to engage in any friendly relationship with lots of people. According to his history, their father even went to the extent of flogging them anytime he feels disobeyed or disregarded as a father. This was because he always wanted his kids to keep away from problems and gangs. Gangs were common and brutal during those days. When Michael Jackson was about to roll out with his career as a performer, his father would force the 4 brothers to rehearse for hours nonstop. Verbal abuse and violence was common thing Michael Jackson grew up with.

Marriage

Michael Jackson

The King of Pop publicly announced his official marriage with his wife, Lisa Marie in August 1994. Lisa Marie was identified as the daughter of Elvis Presley, one of the rock icons in those days. His marriage with Lisa didn’t last for long. They successfully filed and divorced two years after their marriage, in 1996. This was far after Michael Jackson’s child molestation case was already living in the mouths of everyone. Most people even went to the extent of thinking his marriage with Lisa Marie was nothing but deceit or a ploy to shift public attention. 

Within the same year, Michael Jackson did not allow his separation from his ex-wife to become a bone in his throat. He went on and married Debbie Rowe in 1999. The couple had two children which were allegedly acquired through artificial insemination. The first one was Michael Joseph born in the year 1997 and Paris Michael Katherine Jackson also from in 1998. 

Sometime in Michael and Rowe’s lives, they divorced and Michael had complete custody of the two children. With the help of an unknown surrogate, the pop singer went on to have a grid child called Prince Micheal ‘Blanket’ Jackson.

Career

Michael Jackson started off with his career with his brothers, a group named Jackson 5. This group was strictly family. Later on in his career, they got the chance to sign with Motown Records in the year 1969. Together with his brothers, they produced quality music and hit songs in their prime. Among those are; ‘I Want You Back’ and ‘ABC’. The king of pop’s solo album was publicly launched in the year 1979. The album was a hit with numerous hit songs on it. 

Awards 

Michael Jackson won a total of 13 Grammys and 8 for his worldwide hit Thriller Album in 1982. He equally made lots of hits including ‘Off The Wall’, ‘Bad’ among many others. Micheal was further on alongside his career was initiated into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame two times. First as a member of the Jackson 5 music group and second as a solo artiste. Throughout Michael Jackson’s life, he has helped a vast number of black artistes to gain spots in the entertainment industry both on television and on the radio.

How Did Michael Jackson Die?

Michael Jackson is reported to have died of cardiac arrest on 25th June, 2009 in Los Angeles, California, United States. He further on died at the age of 50. According to reliable sources, Dr. Conrad Murray, who was Michael Jackson’s personal doctor was arranged before the court and found guilty of involuntary manslaughter. 

Fast forward around February 2010, a report was released and it revealed that the main cause of Michael Jackson was acute propofol intoxication.  Otherwise explained as lethal overdose drugs which include lidocaine, diazepam and sedatives midazolam. Amidst the death of the King of Pop, his personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray informed the police that, he is sure Michael developed a severe addiction to propofol. 

Some time after, a police investigation was carried out on the case and it appeared that, Dr. Murray was not even given the license to prescribe the majority of drugs in California, United States. However, the death of Michael Jackson was ruled a homicide. On 7th November, 2011, Dr. Conrad Murray was later convicted in court of manslaughter and sentenced to a maximum of 4 years in prison.
