Mike Evans is an American football wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL). He won his first Super Bowl championship on February 7, 2021, in a victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Evans made the decision to forgo his remaining two seasons of college eligibility and declare for the 2014 NFL Draft on January 2, 2014. Most analysts and scouts predicted that he would go in the first round of the draft and be a consensus top 10 pick.
Sports Illustrated regarded him as the best wide receiver in the draft, and NFLDraftScout.com listed him as the second-best wide receiver.
Evans was selected by the Buccaneers with the seventh overall pick in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played college football for Texas A&M, where he set a school record with 1,394 receiving yards on 69 receptions. Evans received consensus first-team All-American honors during his time there. He was a Second-team All-Pro in 2016 and has been chosen to the Pro Bowl four times.
Nearly all of the Buccaneers’ significant receiving records, including career catches, yards, and touchdowns, are held by Evans. Evans is the first athlete in NFL history to have at least 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first eight seasons of play. He defeated the Kansas City Chiefs on February 7, 2021, to win his first Super Bowl title.
