Milovan Rajevac names first Black Stars squad ahead of double-header against Zimbabwe

Milovan Rajevac, the new head coach of the Black Stars, has named his provisional squad for Ghana’s doubleheader against Zimbabwe in the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers.

Alfred Duncan, a Fiorentina midfielder, has been called back into the senior national team following a string of strong performances for his club.

Due to the absence of goalkeeper Richard Ofori, Ibrahim Danlad of Kotoko returns to the Black Stars, while Jojo Wollacott of Swindon Town earns his first international call-up.

Rajevac takes charge of his first games as head coach since being reappointed last week.

He has been tasked with leading the Black Stars to the World Cup in Qatar next year, a task that has become much more difficult following the loss in Johannesburg.

Rajevac is guaranteed a $300,000 payday if he completes this task.
