One of the goals of Faciotech is finding solutions to major problems in the country. As a result, they have decided to dedicate their upcoming initiative towards finding missing children in Ghana.
For the past four years, there has been a tremendous increase with children going missing in the country. Some believe ritualists are to blame. Others believe its a simple act of kidnapping in exchange of money. This year alone the number of children are more than ten and only a few has been accounted for.
As part of their Corporate social responsibility, Faciotech is taking an initiative to develop Ghana’s first digital database for missing children. This platform would serve as a database for reporting and sending tips on sightings.
As Ghana’s resource center for missing children, MissingKids.com.gh when launch will assist families in locating their lost kids and give educational materials to help prevent children from going missing. MissingKids.com.gh is under the non- governmental wing of Faciotech.
They are hoping to collaborate with ,The Ministry of Women and Children’s Affairs (MWCA) or Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MGCSP) Ghana police, NBI and other stakeholders to promote and protect the children in the country and also reduce the rate at which they keep getting missing. The project is set to be complete by 2023.
