Ghanaian actress and Social media celebrity, Moesha Boduong has extended a helping hand to a primary school by donating some stationaries to them after she saw a publication in a newspaper that they needed help.
Moesha donated 30 desks, 300 branded books, 50 pens, textbooks and other learning materials to pupils of Tebu M/A School located at Kasoa Domeabra after she read about their plight in a news publication. Moesha feels it’s not just the responsibility of government to provide basic necessities to schools always and that individuals can also support in their own small way.
According to the publication, some of the pupils in the school lack desks, and several learning materials. The younger ones in Kindergarten even lie on the floor and it’s affected them with some of them complaining of back and spinal aches.
Moesha Bodoung was happy she was able to help in a way and wrote on her Instagram:
On the 19th of June 2018 I saw the article in the daily newspaper about a school called TEBU/MA BASIC SCHOOL located at kasoa domeabra pleading to the government and individual bodies to come to their aid because they needed some learning materials for the love I have for children I decided to get them some learning materials like 300 branded books ,50pens text books , 30 desks and other learning materials items .
With the expressions on their faces, I fell happy I was able to help them with some of the things they needed. helping needy but brilliant children has always been my passion .i will like to thank God Tebu M/A Basic School which is in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra region was in the news last year for sitting on the bare floor to write with others using their laps as tables to write on.
Well, thanks for Moesha, a part of their problem has been solved and we believe if everyone extends a helping hand when they can, we can all make this nation great and strong.
The kids, will at least get to stare at Moesha’s face each time they take those exercise books to do their assignments.
