The opening leg of Ghana against Nigeria’s 2022 World Cup play-off will be handled by Moroccan referee Redouane Jiyed.

Moroccan match official will manage the match between bitter rivals to decide who qualifies for the tournament in Qatar.

Jiyed led Ghana to a 1-0 victory against Ethiopia in September’s World Cup qualifiers at the same stadium.

At the AFCON 2021 in Yaounde, he officiated the 3rd place play-off between Burkina Faso and Cameroon.

Equatorial Guinea vs. Cote d’Ivoire in the group stages and Burkina Faso vs. Gabon in the round of 16.
