Mr Eazi complains of the amount he earned from a song with 10million streams

Popular Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Mr Eazi, has cried out on social media over the revenue accrued from his online streams.

Music streaming services have made it easier for people to listen to their favourite artiste’s song as much as ever in their homes, offices, or any other location where their devices can connect to the internet.

Thanks to streaming music, physical music sales have plummeted and with this, the artistes get to see their returns without losing much.

It is in reference to this that Mr Eazi disclosed on Twitter that he had over 10 million streams on a song but the returns on those streams are only $5000.

The ‘Sample’ hitmaker registered his disappointment as he claimed that the $5000 he got was from a ‘hit song’ which according to him is magical, sarcastically speaking.

He, however, did not reveal the streaming platform he was referring to neither did he mention which of his songs garnered the 10 million streams.

Sighted on his page, he wrote;

“Looking at this 10million streams on this song on this platform amazing how that translates to less than $5000 in revenue! Magic Stuff!! Thus is the story of the hit song lol”.
