Nigerian comedian, Mr. Macaroni, known in real life as Debo Adebayo has unleashed his anger on the anti-corruption agency, Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) for raiding some hotels in Enugu State.
The EFCC is said to have stormed a hotel in the early hours of today as they beat and harassed the owner of the hotel for stopping them from causing problems at the hotel.
Reports suggest that they raided the hotel with five different buses and stormed different hotel rooms to arrest everyone on board including criminals and suspected fraudsters.
This however triggered the social media comedian to slam the anti-corruption agency saying their aggressive method of invading hotels in search of fraudsters is spoiling businesses and should be called to order.
He added that it’s very irresponsible of EFCC to harass harmless and citizens because they want to arrest corrupt people and fraudsters.
He wrote, “Nobody is saying the EFCC shouldn’t do their job. But raiding hotels every other day, thereby; harassing Nigerians who just happen to be at the location and also ruining businesses in the hospitality sector is highly irresponsible.”
