Ghanaian dancehall and reggae artiste Stonebwoy has revealed why his juicy deal with Samsung was cancelled. Speaking to Andy Dosty on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz, the ‘Top Skanka’ hitmaker stated that after his VGMA incidence which caused him to pull a gun, Samsung cancelled the deal he had with them.
Stonebwoy was, on Thursday, April 25, 2019, unveiled as the new brand ambassador for Samsung Ghana in a 360 deal at the Galaxy Studio in Accra Mall.
A delightful Stonebwoy after the deal shared it with his fans on social media. “Deal Sealed, Action Time. Let The Works Begin. @stonebwoyb X @samsungghana #BhimNationXSamsungMobile,” he captioned under the video.
The role of the famed musician was to work with Samsung to raise awareness about Samsung Mobile devices and help popularize the devices in the West African sub-region but it ended in shambles after his unpopular gun brandishing at this year’s VGMA’s.
Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy who have huge following in the entertainment industry disrupted the VGMA held at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) in May, this year.
They were suspended indefinitely and have been charged with offensive conduct conducive to breach of peace, while Stonebwoy is facing another charge of displaying a weapon in public place without permission.
