My engagement ring should be very expensive, something like ₵4,500, not less- Lady says

A Nigerian lady has said she not settling for less when it comes to her engagement ring.

According to the young woman known as Anita Vams on Twitter, anything less than N300,000 (₵4,500) from her potential suitor will automatically disqualify him from entering the institution of marriage with her.

She stressed that her preferred engagement ring would cost no less than N300,000.

Anita wrote on Twitter: ”I honestly won’t appreciate or want a 50/100K engagement ring. Something from 300k and above Lord.”

Her post generated mixed reactions, see some below;

@Christ_for__all; In some true Christian churches they don’t use ring because it is believed that God doesn’t approve the use of jewelries or it’s kind.

@adakumbah; Tell me where GOD didn’t APPROVE JEWELRIES for CHRISTIANS.

@Emydollarssssss; I fit go China buy you 1k ring you go think say na 1million I buy am

@Wizebaba; Incase una divorce or no marry again

@presh_stones; Don’t settle for less. Speak into existence. That’s the spirit

@eESsaarh; You should honestly be telling this to “your man”. This piece of information is not needed in this space, except of course you wanted some reactions, which you’re getting now.. Enjoy.

@abimbola_busayo; Alright. It has been bookmarked… Just remember you weren’t under the influence of alcohol when you tweeted.

Hey…. by God’s grace we’ll still be here a few years from now. Live up to your declaration Thumbs up

@IndomieHead; id be so mad if he spent that on a ring when im over here saving for our house

@Kklazzique; Most of our girls here don’t know how to save. All they do is spend

@_armerillo; Agree with you. I don’t even plan on proposing with any ring less than 500k.

@blacktaaffeite; I’m not understanding the outrage, you guys spend more than 50k at least sometimes in one day and someone says the one thing she will wear for YEARS should be something of a standard and you are insulting her.
