“My Mental Health Is Important”- DKB Quits Comedy

Popular Ghanaian comedian and actor, Derrick Kobina Bonney, popularly known as DKB, has announced his decision to quit comedy.

According to DKB in a Tweet sighted by GhBase.com,  he is tired of the insults and abuse he gets from Ghanaians on all his social media platforms.

DKB has often being referred to as a talentless Comedian with dry jokes. His recent feud with actress Efia Odo didn’t sit well with him as he was bashed by Netizens on Twitter. It is with the reason that he has decided to quit his career as a comedian.

“I’m RETIRING from comedy. I’m tired. Enough of negativity & disrespect, I didn’t kill anyone, I just make people laugh, so why the insults in return?

“My mental health is important to me. So-called fans also don’t show love publicly. I’ve lifted Ghana comedy, done my part,” he wrote on his Twitter wall.

Some of his fans were unhappy about his decision and encouraged him to be himself and forget about haters. Others said he wanted attention. Either way, we will keep you updated on how his decision plays out.
