Singer Mr. Drew has said despite his soaring popularity as his songs get massive rotation on urban radio, it doesn’t correlate to his financial status. The fast-rising musician said the situation is blamable on the Covid-19 pandemic which is still ravaging the world.

“Let me make it simple, this coronavirus times we are not making money trust me. It has spoiled a lot of things and also what we would have made a lot of money from was shows and endorsement deals but coronavirus has brought a halt to all that, he said in an interview with Amansan Krakye on GBC Radio Central over the weekend.

“So right now you can testify that my songs are really popular but I don’t have money to complement my hit songs”, he sadly concluded.
