The Father of a slain police officer, General Constable Emmanuel Osei believes his son’s memory can best be honoured if his death serves an end to the killing of police officers in their line of duty.
According to him, police officers in the country lack the necessary equipment to protect themselves and others thus they fall victim to threat when it erupts.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Citi News, Peter Attah said although he is saddened by his son’s death, he believes it will serve a good purpose in the long run.
“My son is dead; I will not say I’m counting on him, but from my own observation, the security service is always left ajar; so they should be protected so that they can work well and protect us”, he said.
General Constable Emmanuel Osei was killed by armed robbers on Monday when he was on escort duty in a Bullion van. A woman was also killed when the robbers attacked.
