It has now been established that 9 people perished with Kobe Bryant on that fateful day when the aircraft on which they were travelling lost control and came crashing down in a valley in California on January 26.
The helicopter crash, about 30 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles, caused a brush fire, Los Angeles County Fire Department Chief Daryl Osby said. The crash killed all nine people aboard, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
The passengers were on their way to a basketball game when the chopper went down. Reports say the helicopter was flying in foggy conditions considered dangerous enough that local police agencies grounded their choppers.
In a new development, the nine passengers who died with Kobe Bryant and his daughter Marian Gianna Onore Bryant have been identified.
