Seasoned Sports journalist, Gary Al-Smith has gone in hard on party fanatics aligned to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the wake of the trending ‘Fix the country’ hashtag.
The #Fixthecountry is a new political movement aimed at reminding President Nana Akufo Addo about the worsening economic conditions and decline in the living standards of the citizens.
The campaigners want good policies to be implemented to inure to the benefit of the average Ghanaian whilst remedying all the ills that have plunged people into penury.
Shockingly, loyalists of the NPP tried to fight back on social media by starting a feeble counterattack dubbed #Fixyourself and #Fixyourattitude which have done little to help their case.
Having realized the outrage by citizens over the counter hashtag, they have now changed their narrative to the hashtag, #Nanaisfixingit.
To this end, Gary-Smith fired salvos at the NPP fanatics who are attacking the ‘fix the country’ campaign on social media. In a Facebook post, he wrote;
