New Update: Stonebwoy & Shatta Wale Plead Not Guilty After Appearing In Court Today, Case Adjourned To June 29

Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy have appeared before an Accra Circuit today after engaging in a brawl on live TV during the recently held Vodafone Ghana Music Awards at the Dome on May 18.

Both artistes pleaded not guilty to their charges when they appeared before his lordship, Isaac Addo after which they were granted bail at a cost of GHc50,000 with one surety each.

Shatta Wale is facing a charge of offensive conduct conducive to breach of peace while Stonebwoy has been charged with offensive conduct conducive to breach of peace and display of a firearm in public without permission.

The case has been adjourned to June 20, 2019. The two were cautioned to be of good behaviour while the case is ongoing.

The 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Award was disrupted by violence which erupted between fans of Shatta Wale and the management team of Stonebwoy.

Shatta Wale, for reasons best known to him, stormed the stage moments after Stonebwoy was declared Dancehall Reggae Artist of the year.

Stonebwoy consequently pulled out a gun which caused fear and panic in the auditorium, causing several patrons including John Dumelo, Jackie Appiah and Sarkodie to flee for their dear lives.
