Nigerian Born Singer, Mo Adeniran Wins Voice UK 2017

21-year old Nigerian singer Mo Adeniran emerged winner of the finale show of the Voice UK voice held last night. The Voice UK is a British television talent show created by John de Mol and based on the concet The Voice of Holland.

The Nigerian singer who doubles as a part hotel worker blew the judges away when he sang Iron Sky originally composed by Paolo Nutini. And the most significant aspect of Mo’s victory is that former American Idol contestant, Jennifer Hudson coached the Nigerian throughout the competition. Thus Jennifer becomes the first female coach to win the Voice UK.

Jennifer Hudson stuck to Mo when he performed A Change is Gonna Come by Sam Cooke during the preliminaries. It wasn’t a smooth journey the young Nigerian as in the Knockout Show he was saved by the public before his progression was guaranteed. Then in the quarter finals his coach, Jennifer Hudson chose Mo to go through to the next round.

Expressing his delight on Instagram, he wrote:  “Can’t believe it… A massive thank you to everyone who’s supported me along the way, my incredible coach @iamjhud, friends, family supporters, the whole @thevoiceuk team, and most of all all of YOU who voted to make this dream happen…”

Congratulations to Mo Adeniran.
