Nigerian Movie Industry Is Thriving More Than Ghana Movie Industry Because We Have Better Facilities – Nollywood Actress Beverly Nayas Discloses

The setbacks the Ghana entertainment industry has experienced lately has seen some actors relocating to or seeking more roles in Nigeria’s Nollywood.

And for Nollywood actress Beverly Naya, Ghanaian actors come to Nigeria because it offers more opportunities than Ghana does.

“There are more chances in our country than here. Take a look at our population, it’s big; the movie market is also big there, we have more cinemas, we shoot more movies; every time we are screening something.

“Again we have the attention of major streaming sites such as Netflix and all so there is always work for us to do. That is why Ghanaian actors like coming to our country,” she told Graphic Showbiz in a recent interview.

Beverly, who has been in Ghana shooting the Perfect Picture sequel, commended the Ghana Movie industry for doing well.

“Ghana’s movie industry is doing well, I love their movies. Though they may not be shooting as much as we do, when they decide to shoot, it is very good,” she reiterated.

Beverly also revealed that she loved to work with Shirley Frimpong Manso. “I love working with her, she is good at what she does, she pays attention to detail and her choice of location for movies is always spot on.”

Speaking on her role in Perfect Picture -10 Years Later, Beverly said it was an interesting one, “I played the role of a daughter called Samantha, something very different.”

Beverly Naya has featured in movies like; Guilty Pleasures, Death Waters, Tinsel, Home in Exile, Alan Poza, Forgetting June, Make A Move, Up Creek Without a Paddle, Stripped, Weekend Getaway, When Love Happens, Brother’s Keeper, The Wedding Party, The Wedding Party 2 and Chief Daddy amongst others.
