The beautiful actress who has been making her mark in the Nigerian movie industry told Adjoa of Ghbase TV that the movie industry has plummeted in Ghana because of our laid back attitude whereas the Nigerians are more action-oriented.

She made the comment after Adjoa asked her to distinguish her working relationship with Ghallywood and Nollywood since she had had the chance to be in both movie industries. Additionally, Haillie Sumney said the Nigerian movie industry is booming and has become successful and lucrative because of the unity amongst industry players and the massive support from their government.

“As a Ghanaian, I feel like I didn’t get much support. It was hard to break into the movie industry in Ghana. One thing I would say is that they turn to us the same people and the same faces over and over.”
