Nkoranza Unrest: Rev Father threatens to invoke a curse on Ghana Police over his nephew’s death

The Nkoranza unrest following the death of 28-year-old Albert Donkor has sparked emotions and sentiments causing the youths to demand justice for their slain brother.

A Rev Father who is agitated by the dɛath of Allbert, his nephew in Nkoranza, and how his death has been related to armed robbery has threatened to seek justice the traditional way.

Speaking on Akoma Fm, Reverend Father Mathias Sarkodie said that the death of his nephew has hurt him so much that he would have preferred to invoke curses on the Police if not for his sacred role as a Rev Father.

According to Father Sarkodie, he would’ve invoked the gods on the Police for cooking up lies to cover the murder of his nephew Albert Donkor but his role as a man of God has put a barrier in his intentions.

“If not for the fact that I am a Reverend Minister, I would have invoked a deity to curse the police for their fabricated ‘armed robbery’ report over the death of my nephew”.

28-year-old Albert prior to his painful death was a Satellite Dish Installer and a second-hand clothing seller who was picked up from his house on April 25, 2022, over suspicion of being part of a robbery gang.

Two weeks later the police came to inform his family that the same guy they stormed his room to arrest had lost his life in a shootout with the police.

Since this report from the Police, there has been unrest in the community with the youth taking matters into their own hand to demand justice from the Inspector General of Police.
