The governing New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Koduah, often known as JFK, argues that the Akufo-Addo government is the finest thing that has happened to Ghana in this Fourth Republic.
He stated that the Akufo-Addo administration implemented more social intervention initiatives in its first year than any other government since 1992.
On Wednesday, July 20, Mr. Koduah made this assertion while engaging in a conversation on the subject “NPP Breaking the 8” on Accra-based JoyNews’ PM Express, which Modernghana News watched.
“No administration in Ghana’s history since 1992 has been able to accomplish the things we undertook in our first term,” he said.
He did, however, agree that the administration has not been able to match Ghanaians’ expectations, but he feels that the best has been done in comparison to previous regimes.
“Apathy and communication have an impact on government officials.” When someone supports a political party, they receive what they anticipate, but no government can please everyone,” he said.
On the ‘breaking the eight’ goal, he said that it is feasible as the government works to repair the economy before the 2024 elections.
“We are hoping that the economy will recover in 2023,” JFK said.
