The cliché, every prostitute was once a virgin is damn true only if Catherine Njeri’s bedroom adventures is anything to go buy. According to Catherine in an interview on the ‘A Story a Day’ segment on Hot 96, she was innocent like Mary in the Christian Bible until the unexpected happened.
Sharing her emotional laden story, Catherine Njeri who happens to be a former Sociology and Communication student at UON (University of Nairobi) shockingly revealed that she was raped by a colleague during her second year at the final semester. Consequently, she became a victim to changing men like diapers.
“I lost my virginity to rape,” an emotional Catherine revealed.
Catherine shared details of her hedonistic lifestyle and admitted to sleeping with not less than 100 men of different shades and at times she would sleep with one or two men per day.
“In a week I only spent 2-3 nights in my campus room. I was ‘a don’t care’, I never gave a damn… I never gave a damn as I was like what’s there in life that I have never seen?”
It’s worth knowing that apart from working as a twilight girl, Catherine also confessed that she got into the pornographic industry but became a laughing stock after her schoolmates got their hands on her blue videos. The embarrassment compelled her to stop the new venture despite the fact that it was worth paying – pornographic industry.
So, she continued trading sex for money as in her mind she preferred contracting HIV/AIDS from selling her body rather than from someone forcing themselves onto her. Don’t forget that the one who raped her paid nothing.
“I felt I would rather be positive when someone has paid me than when someone has forced himself on me,” she said.
Lucky for Catherine, she didn’t contract HIV/AIDS and has now dedicated her life to people like her who have suffered from depression and suicidal thoughts. She noted that her failure to seek help after getting raped caused her all these bedroom havoc.
