Obrafour Mistakenly Handed His Rap Destiny to Sarkodie – Radio Presenter Reveals

Even in the Christian Holy Bible, there’s a story in the book of Genesis where there was an exchange of destiny. Christians who read their Bibles do remember how the eldest son of Isaac (Esau) who would have inherited the covenant God made with Abraham that was passed on to Isaac easily traded his birthright or destiny  to his twin brother, Jacob for a mess of pottage.

Similarly and in the Ghanaian version of the story, a radio presenter, Nana Romeo, of Accra 100.5FM, has stated that legendary hip life artiste, Obrafuor, unknowingly handed over his destiny to Sarkodie, when he symbolically presented a crown to his fellow musician in two songs as monitored by Ghbase.com.

According to him, lyrics in the songs ‘In This Life’ and ‘Saa Okodie No’ symbolically represent a hand over of destiny from Obrafour  to Sarkodie. He added that in the first music’s video, Obrafuor is seen handing over a crown to Sarkodie. In the second, he praises Sarkodie for his ability to rap, which he believes is from birth.

On countless number of times, Obrafuor is heard saying he won’t regret his retirement from music, because he believes Sarkodie would take over.

He concluded by saying that since the release of both videos, Obrafuor has been struggling with his music career, whilst Sarkodie has gone on to receive several awards. He believes it is the reason Obrafuor’s career appears to be falling, and that of Sarkodie, rising.
