“Star Awards”, which seeks to reward excellence and give the needed recognition to Ghanaians excelling in the creative arts industry, was launched over the weekend in Kumasi by Professional Media.
The event which took place inside Queens Sports Bar & Restaurant at Nhyiaeso was well attended by renowned industry players in the Garden City, Kumasi as well as musicians, both mainstream and the budding ones.

The CEO of Professional Media, Emcee Lento Bebe addressing the gathering on the day sounded optimistic about the future of the scheme adding that Star Awards has come to stay and it won’t be a nine-day wonder thing.
The categories according to the CEO will be out in early January, 2020 and it won’t be limited to acts in Ashanti region but nationwide. Thus, all those excelling in the field of creative arts will be allowed to file for nomination(s).
