Shatta Wale wasn’t the only the African artist featured on Beyoncé’s The Lion King: The Gift album as Nigerian stars Tiwa Savage, Mr Eazi, Tekno, Yemi Alade, Burna Boy, Wizkid, Cameroonian artist Salatiel and South Africa’s Busiswa and Moonchild Sanelly were also featured.
After the 23-time Grammy Award-winning superstar announced her collaboration with Shatta Wale, many celebrities including gospel artistes like Anita Afriyie, Gifty Osei took to social media to shower praises on the dancehall artist.
Ohemaa Mercy in a recent interview with Andy Dosty said this about the Shatta-Beyonce collaboration.
“I was really really happy that at least God is lifting him and I see nothing wrong with it. It’s a plus and I thank God for his life.”
Meanwhile, Shatta Wale has stated in an interview with a Nigerian FM station that he has talked to his team to make these collaborations with Sarkodie, Stonebwoy and Samini possible because that’s what Ghanaians are waiting for.
