Jamaica’s Ministry of Health has confirmed the Coronavirus status of eight-time Olympic gold medalist, Usain Bolt.
This comes after the revelation by the retired world sprinter after he shared his COVID-19 positive status on social media.
The confirmation was announced on Monday night, August 24, after Bolt, who holds world records in the 100m and 200m, shared a video on Twitter in which he revealed he is self-isolating at home, and not displaying any symptoms.
Medical practitioners believe he may have contracted the virus at his 34th birthday party that was put up at his private residence in Jamacia where there was no adherence to the preventive measures.
Manchester City star Raheem Sterling, Bayer Leverkusen attacker Leon Bailey and cricketer Chris Gayle were some of the big stars filmed at the birthday party of Usain Bolt.
