Olympics Silences Asante Kotoko

second half strike from Michael Yeboah handed Great Olympics a 1-0 victory against Asante Kotoko.

Great Olympics were hoping to bounce back to winning ways after suffering a 2-0 in the hands of Liberty Professionals over the weekend.

Great Olympics enjoyed a great first half, seeing more of the ball but failing to make that count in the final 3rd.

Olympics came back from the recess and continued to threatened the Porcupine Warriors.

The deadlock was broken in the 54th minute, Michael Yeboah headed a cross from Gladson Awako to give Olympics the lead.

Kotoko started to see more of the ball and came close to leveling matters in the 69th minute, a free kick from Muniru Sulley’s at the edge of the Olympics penalty box was spilled by goalkeeper Saed Salifu. Emmanuel Gyamfi blasted the rebound wide.

The Porcupine continued to push for the equalizing goal but it wasn’t meant to be today. Great Olympics beat Kotoko 1-0. Gladson Awako was named man of the match.
