Our lives are in our own hands – Gifty Anti reacts to lifting of the lockdown

Ace journalist Gifty Anti who joined calls for a nationwide lockdown following the confirmation of some Five Hundred and Sixty-Six (566) cases of COVID-19 in the country on April 14 has once again reacted after the president lifted the partial lockdown.

President Akufo Addo on Sunday, April 19, 2020, announced that he has lifted the partial lockdown on Accra and Kumasi effective Monday, April 20, 2020.

In a Facebook post, the celebrated Journalist said it is now the responsibility of Ghanaians to protect themselves against COVID now that the green light has been for us to go out of our homes.

She wrote:

The president of Ghana has spoken. Now we, as individuals have to strategize and decide what to do, to stay safe and protect our families and loved ones.

The back and forth arguments will not help us, especially, the non-politicians. What we need to do now, is to ask ourselves, ‘what is next?’

Our lives are in our own hands!!! We shall overcome! Be wise!! Stay safe!!! Stay Alive. And Trust in God. ?
