Over 500 killed in earthquake in Turkey

Daily Mail has reported that more than 569 persons have been killed in a 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Turkey and Syria.

According to the report, a lot of families were crushed in their sleep in a powerful 7.8-magnitude earthquake in Turkey and Syria.

The earth tremor was said to have lasted for a few minutes and was felt as far as Egypt, Lebanon, and the Island of Cyprus. On the other hand, a tsunami warning was announced by the authorities in Italy along the country’s coast.

This announcement caused panic which made a lot of people fled from the homes and cities across Southeast Turkey and Northen Syria by taking shelter in cars earing aftershocks and collapsing buildings.

A lot of people people were said to have been trapped under the rubble as thousands of rescue workers jumped into actions where they searched through the collapsed buildings for survivors.
