The aftermath of the BBC’s Sex for Grade’ expose which unearthed the bad deeds of some lecturers in Ghana and Nigeria, has been overwhelming and with this, several other students have also voiced out their experiences.
These are past female students of the Nation’s premier university, UG who were also sexually harassed by Prof Gyampo, the Political Science lecturer caught in the documentary.
Excerpts of the one-hour documentary by BBC’s Africa Eye shows Prof Gyampo with an undercover journalist who had posed as a student of the University of Ghana.
Prof Gyampo, who is also the Head of European Studies at the university, according to the BBC report allegedly proposed marriage to the “student” who was seeking academic favours.
The past students who were also sexually harassed by Prof Gyampo have finally decided to share some experiences they encountered on social media.
According to those who voiced out their bitter experience, Professor Gyampo intentionally failed some of them because they ignored his sexual advances.
