Pastors shouldn’t be sidelined in politics – Methodist Church Pastor 

The Superintendent Minister of Calvary Methodist Church in Amakom has entreated every Minister of God to be part of politics in the country.

According to him, every Citizen of this Nation is a Political being and Politics is part of life

He described the Bible as a Political book, so then a Pastor reluctant to speak on Politics is quite worrying. “It is the duty of the Minister of God to guide the Nation,” he told Nana Jantuah in an interview on Oyerepa Breakfast Show.

He indicated that the Lord has not revealled anything to him, but he talks about pressing issues, but emphasized,  “It is up to ministers given out prophetic political messages for them to answer.” 

The Former Methodist Bishop of Obuasi diocese continued that every Pastor is supposed to be trained, with Ministerial conducts and ethics to streamline his/ her activities.

Rt. Rev. Stephen Richard Bosomtwe Ayensu recalled calling for parliament to come with a law that will compel churches to go under a mother association of which people took him out of contest.

He reemphasises that this will help saying, “Christian Council cannot and will not stop someone from establishing his/ her church.”
