People are fighting in Trotro because of you- Yvonne Nelson slams Prez Nana Akufo Addo

Yvonne Nelson, known for going political and speaking on behalf of the masses on social media, has slammed President Nana Akufo Addo for subjecting Ghanaians to extreme hardship.

Taking to her verified Twitter handle, the filmmaker and actress noted that the ordinary citizens who have been hit hard by Nana Akufo Addo’s mismanagement and the perpetual hike in prices of goods and services have seen them agitating.

She recalled how commuters recently exchanged blows in a commercial vehicle, popularly called Trotro over a disagreement in fares which she herself witnessed.

Yvonne then noted the so-called ‘change’ nana Akufo Addo promised in the build-up to the 2016 and 2020 elections was a scam after all.

Her comment comes hours after some mainstream female Ghanaian celebs stormed Twitter to register their utmost disgust about the Electronic Transfer Levy, widely known as e-levy and how some unlawful deductions have been effected on their prepaid ECG prepaid card.

It was Lydia who began the conversation when she revealed how she was ‘robbed’ in broad day light after making a purchase with her card which hitherto had never happened before.

She said: “Bought electricity yesterday and went through the same, paid Gh 7 to the platform charge ( using the app) and GH 9 in Elevy. Then a deduction of GH 7 for the electrify I paid for. So GH 23 for getting light. It might not be anything to some, but ALOT to me.”

Former Citi FM on air personality, Jessica Opare-Saforo quickly grabbed the thread with her furious hands and chipped in sentiments tailored along the same tangent. Read more HERE…
