The recently held Adonko Concert will certainly go down in history as one of the shows which got fans really intoxicated, in the real sense of the word. Some of the topmost artistes in Ghana were there to entertain the highly charged crowd.

Mansa hitmaker Bisa K. Dei also performed at the concert but his performance has come under a lot of scrutiny. He granted an interview to Happy FM and explained what culminated in the sort of performance he put up.

“I disagree with people who think I’m mostly not entertaining on stage. I don’t expect you to like everything that I do. I am a Highlife artist and I have slow songs. I have to perform the slow songs too sometimes.

“The Adonko concert for instance, people were happy when I got on stage. I have videos to prove people were entertained on the night. Another thing that happened on the night was that… You already know a show that has Shatta Wale on is something else. Before I got into the venue people thought I was Shatta Wale, so they climbed the car I was in and stood on the car and broke some parts of it.

“When I got out and was going on stage, people still thought it was Shatta Wale till I got on stage and they were still screaming till I started the slow songs.

“Many of the fans were a little tipsy and wanted to jam but I had rehearsed with my band and needed to stick to the set before I got into the hot songs. I realized the live band was slowing the fans. Shatta Wale too had arrived at the venue and everyone was shouting his name while I was on stage so I had to quickly switch from the slow songs to the hot songs and it was really great from then.”
