Ghana’s certified mermaid, Sister Derby has successfully turned into the infamous cum mythical sea goddess (Maame Water) after so many years of calling herself a mermaid.

Thus, Sister Derby has stormed the popular photo-sharing platform, Instagram with a photo of herself looking just like what’s referred to locally as Maame Water.

Sister Derby posted the photo and wrote: “To be kind in a world so cruel, that’s my super power”.

And following commentaries on social media after sharing the photo, fans and followers are saying she has finally turned into a mermaid (Maame Water) after tagging herself as one.

But the truth is, Derby hasn’t turned into Maame Water actually but it’s her Halloween photo and the photographer as well as the editor should be commended for the zenith creativity.

For the purpose of clarity, a mermaid in folklore is an aquatic creature with the head and upper body of a female human and the tail of a fish. Mermaids appear in the folklore of many cultures worldwide, including the Near East, Europe, Asia, and Africa.
