A Nigerian Naval officer, who tested positive for Covid-19, has allegedly escaped Isolation Center in Oghara, Delta state to smoke weed.
A post seen on Instagram revealed the suspect who was brought in on May 1, 2020, and was at the centre till Saturday, May 10, left after threatening health workers with a jack knife.
He said he has requested to smoke marijuana after he was brought to the centre last week but he was denied permission to smoke.
The officer is said to have been addicted to smoking weed. He can’t just let a day go by without smoking.
Sources indicated the officer appeared like a drug addict, adding that he looked like one suffering from drug withdrawal syndrome.
