The truth is, Ghanaians have been cyberbullying footballing legend Michael Essien ever since he openly offered his support to LGBTQI Right in Ghana.
The former Chelsea player was forced to delete his Instagram post supporting the LGBTQ community because of the attacks he was getting in the comment section. Even after deleting the post, people moved to his inbox to continue with the abuse.
One Ghanaian Instagram user went to his inbox to insult him while demanding why he would offer his support to a movement the masses back home are against.
He stressed that whiles his playing mates like Drogba are building hospitals back home to benefit the poor, all Essien could do for Ghana is to support LGBTQI.
For the purpose of clarity, the former Ivorian international Didier Drogba availed his private hospital for use as a government coronavirus facility when covid first broke in the country.
The hospital in question, located in the city of Abidjan, is named after Ivory Coast footballer Laurent Pokou, who died in 2016.
